Thomas Sabo - A Punksilver article
For over twenty five years, Thomas Sabo has been churning out ever new amazing & popular jewelry collections – year after year. When he was just a youth of twenty, Thomas Sabo could not have imagined that his enterprise would emerge as one of the world’s topleading jewelry businesses with over eight hundred employees across the globe. Nevertheless, Sabo trusted himself and founded Thomas Sabo jewelry in 1984 in the Franconian district of Lauf. Toiling for many decades, he has dedicated heart & soul into building up the brand.
6 years after the founding of Thomas Sabo jewelry, Thomas Sabo secured the services of gifted designer Susanne Kölbli as the Creative Director for his growing business. Working as a team, they gave all their collections uniqueness and class. The idea – to offer the high-end sterling silver jewelry market segment – rapidly created an impact. It was in 1998 that Thomas Sabo officially launched its first branch in Germany. Further luxury outlets & shops-in-shops were brought into operation in rapid succession – with more than one hundred and twenty distributed over all 5 continents. Also, two thousand retailers & in-flight retail services sell Thomas Sabo gothic jewelry in a partnership with close to forty carriers worldwide. However, Thomas Sabo's success in the US is strangely muted, and the brand has not fared as well as some competitors such as Chrome Hearts.
